day 3 today
Congratulations on 3 days!! Though weed was not my "thing" (crack was) it took quite a while to get rid of the yukky feelings. I had to accept that I didn't get to where I was in a day (addiction), and getting clean wasn't going to happen in a day either. I didn't LIKE knowing that, but it gave me hope that in time, it would get better. It did

It is going to take time to feel better after 20 years of smoking out. I think many people don't take pot addiction seriously and that makes it tough to get help I imagine, but glad you have SR.
Congrats on day 3!!!!!!! You rock \m/
If you don't mind, it would be neat to hear your story and what lead you to quit, unless you already posted that somewhere

metalchick...I quit for many reasons. Its effecting me financially, emotionally, physically, and all my personal relatoinships.
I used to smoke everyday all day evry 20 mins,it finally got exhausting. I was also given a ultimatum. No sex from fiance if i wasnt sober hahahaha that really helped.
i could write a novel right now but i kept it short,it was finally time to grow up basically.

Thanks,
My BF never gave me the ultimatum, but he did get pissed about my drinking sometimes. Part of the reason I quit was for him, but mainly for me. It was my time.
LOL, member that movie with Dave Chappelle where he tosses that dubie off the pier. Not to make light of it at all, but when you said that part of the reason you quit was for your girl, that popped into my mind. I think it is good to have some humor in this mess.
Take care,
MC

Socal,
I like that you said "it's time to grow up basically". That really does sum it up for many of us. You sound like you are off on solid footing - keep going and let us know how you are doing. We care. Best wishes.

Sunny, so many people write the same thing about Day 3. It's just not a good day. I don't know why that is, but it's common.Hang in there, Day 4 is better for most! Good job so far

Way to go, Sunnysocal. I've seen too many people I know get caught up with pot - - some of them have been messed up with weed and alcohol! The desire for all of these things gets weaker with time. I quit smoking (cigarettes) over seven months ago and it's remarkably rare that I think about lighting up. Best wishes to you!
Congrats on 3 days
A good friend of mine is about to lose his family due to his pot smoking and its associated behaviours. I hope to get him on this site. So he can get support of others who are withdrawing from pot.
Good Luck
