Birthday Blues
So, today is my birthday and I am feeling a little bit blue. The last two yrs. I spent my birthday with my axbf and we were supposed to go somewhere this week. I am with family and I am glad they're here but there's still this gnawing sensation in my heart.
It's been almost two months since we split and I have made a lot of progress, I'm not crying every day or wanting to have a panic attack when I find myself alone. I do miss a lot of things about him which were very special and that's tough. Of course it isn't my fault that his drinking went out of control and there wasn't much I could even do about it at the time since he told me "You need to shut up about it."
Anyway I am sure I will feel even better soon but I'm just feeling a little sad today. The loneliness is tough and I definitely miss having a special someone in my life. I hope if I find a new someone it will be a healthier relationship. If that doesn't happen I am settling into some peaceful times which are also nice. Thanks for being there, SR friends!
