I have read this sight for a month and just completed day 8. I have worked so hard to balance a successful career and a beautiful family while drinking way too much for way too long. I have decided to never drink again, my friends and even some family ask the question of"why" ? I have a voice inside of me that has been telling me to make this decision for a long time even though many of my friends and family drink even heavier than I was. The voice tries to tell me that I never had a problem, but I know better. What an amazing weekend with ought a foggy headed hangover, even a designated driver. I never hit bottom or got into a legal situation but it was sheer luck. My wife luckily rarely if ever drinks and is very happy with my decision. I know I will be tempted but I love the extra productivity. Forums like these do make a difference, I can relate to many stories
