Who wants pulled pork?
Who wants pulled pork?
AW has been "grocery shopping" for her ma for the last 7 hours & dinner is ready. Got pulled pork thats been smoking for 6 hours, potato salad with fresh taters from the garden (Grandma's recipe & Grandma is a farmers wife!) & corn on the cob fresh picked 20 minutes ago from the garden! Even if AW was here, she doesn't eat anyway so I got plenty!
Whatcha ya'll cookin' for everyone but eatin by yerself?
Gotta go eat!

That meal sounds like heaven, the corn especially!!
I cooked ham, swiss and tomato panini on sourdough bread for me, my boys and my dear mother who came to my new condo and organized my utensil drawers and cupboards like only she can. Thank goodness for my mom!

I'll be right over!!! Up in these parts, it's a bit chilly today, so I've spent the day inside cooking up an old Jewish family soup recipe with a million ingredients and a full day's cooking time. Not energetic enough to bake some fresh bread, that would have been perfect otherwise.
I made a Bolivian inspired dish from my friend in Florida. It was sandwich steak sliced thin and sauteed in a fry pan with olive oil, I seasoned the steak with basic steak seasoning. Then I cut up hot dogs and cooked them in the pan after the steak was done. I made steak fries in the oven, cut up some tomatoes and raw yellow onion(she likes to add peppers or even jalapenos chopped but we don't like that much hot). Chopped up fresh cilantro and served it in bowls with the steak meats on the bottom, fries over top, then the veggies and garnish. My family loves this meal probably because it's mostly meat and potato based and it's very easy to make. I usually buy 2 packages of the meat and make extra for sandwiches for the next few days.
Tonight's menu, we made:
fresh guacamole and an enchilada pie, served with blue corn chips.
OhBoy, I'm sorry you didn't have a partner present to appreciate your fine culinary skills. It *smells* wonderful from over here!

I've been painting & texturing walls in one bath, and stripping another bath down for the same treatment. Just had a banana and some strawberries. I am too tired to cook anything for dinner. But you all are awesome and making me hungry. ; )
