Alcoholic death
Alcoholic death
My cousin was taken off of life support this morning.
She had cirrhosis for over 7 years and continued to drink and use drugs in spite of her health and 4 year old son. She was 41.
I am so mad and sad right now. I know I will move in to acceptance and kind of already have.
For those who do not know, an alcoholic death is a slow and painful one. Her liver shut down and kidneys followed. Blood came out of her eyes, nose, and mouth. Her eyes and skin were bright yellow.
Hang on to your sobriety for dear life. I know I am.

I am so sorry to read this, Elisabeth. I'm very sorry for your loss and want to thank you for sharing- I can't begin to imagine what you and your family are going through but sharing this will hopefully mean at least one more family will not have to go through it.
My heart goes out to you and your family, Elisabeth. I understand your anger..... drinking has taken so many good people. Thank you for the reminder of how serious this disease is. Sending a prayer for you today.....
((Elisabeth)) - I'm so sorry for your loss, and many hugs and prayers coming to you and all who loved her. I am glad you posted this. Some people don't realize how bad it can get
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
