Welcome to SR Sobertime

I think alot of my puffiness went down pretty quickly, weeks maybe, and from then on things have improved day by day. My appearance was the least of my worries though x

Somewhere by 30 days random strangers were giving me compliments about my glowing appearance.... Coincidence? Dunno. I had worked the steps by then....

Hi Sobertime! Great to have you with us.

It took a few weeks for me to look better, too. About 6 months to actually look healthy again.

Hope to hear more from you - congratulations on reaching the decision to quit.

I noticed the color in my face returned in about a week. The really awesome thing is that my vision has greatly improved. Everything appears crisp and sharp.

Keep going and everything gets better!!

I am with everyone else.....a few weeks I looked a lot better, in a couple of months I was getting compliements (things like "you look so well rested") - ha - if they knew that instead of staying up until 2 a.m. drinking I was going to bed at 11 not hungover and sober, they would have gotten it! There are several things that you can do to feel better/look better right away - eat well, drink lots of water and exercise....exercise seems to really do it. Also, vitamins. If you are like me, you were pretty worn down. Best of luck to you....being sober is amazing. Take care.
