Great morning so far
Hey everyone,
I woke up early so that i could get my run in before the weather turns into triple digits. Its so nice to run with the sun coming up, things are quiet and calm. I am quiet and calm. After about 40 min the sprinklers came on in the park and being able to run through them was awesome. AWESOME!!!!!! Its nice to be able to do the things that i want to do without a hangover! I feel like I am getting back to myself. Thanks for being here.

congrats Mizzuno! i'm getting dressed to go to a Renaissance Faire and it's so nice to not hungover or feeling ill or drinking. the last times i've gone i've felt i'll every time. i've had to sneak drinks while my husband showered to fortify myself for a whole afternoon and evening without alcohol. twice i've had to have my husband stop along the way so i could be sick along the side of the road because my hangover and tight corset didn't quite jive. this way is so much easier. isn't sobriety a wonderful gift? mornings are full of so much hope and joy now!
also, my Pandora station played "Don't Worry, Be Happy" just a few minutes ago, lol! how about that for an anthem?

It's so funny to me how morning change for so many people when they're in sobriety. It's probably the time of day that changes for the good for almost everyone. Where we used to wake up with hangovers and fear and hopelessness we now wake with hope, vigor (well, some of us), pride and confidence. I know i'm always strongest in the mornings. I used to be weakest in the mornings because waking up just meant i had to face another day of failure. Now waking up means i have another day to succeed and i know i have it in me. What a change! Who was that person? Hooray for mornings and hooray for the opportunity every new day holds! May we all make the best of every day our lives give us.
