15 hours sober.
Hey all,
I've just signed up here, figured it'd be good to make myself known. So I'm 15 hours sober, I'm 22 and have had a pretty rocky relationship with alcohol since I started drinking. Drinking runs in my family, heavy drinking at that.
I want to try to stem any future problems relating to alcohol now, before it begins to really affect my work and my relationships. I've tried giving up before, with little success, and I'm hoping a support network will help me to stay sober.
I'm not myself when I drink, and I hate using that as an excuse when I have to apologise to my girlfriend, friends and family the day after a big night, or just a night spent drinking alone.
I hope I haven't bored you all with this intro, this just feels like the first chance I've had to vent how I feel about alcohol. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hey mate....another aussie here
Good for u for nipping it in the butt now, it seriously only gets worse. I had nearly 3 months and tried a drink thinking it was ok. It wasn't. This place is great for advice/support. All the best
