OT First fashion picture! dedicated to transformyself
Long story short, the last photoshoot was too professional and too "washed out" for my teacher so he sent me out to do another one .. I decided to take the pictures myself! I did the design, the dress, modified a bag and shoes, added some feathers the tree is just outside my house...
The hair/makeup girl couldn't make it at the last minute... so I also had to do that lol.. very basic.
This was my favorite picture. The collection is inspired by the Lakota. I am doing the portfolio now...
Dedicated to transformyself oh and also LTD! hi!

I would love to add some consciousness into the small fashion environment in my city.. healthier body image.. acceptance of all skin colors (in this city people stupidly discriminate against brunnetes/darker skin tones.. that is why I am making all my illustrations with darker skin models! where everyone else seeks ultraskinny blondes...)
Eco friendly textiles/dyes, etc...
Basically, celebration of life. I have seen a lot of eating disorders and for the first time I saw people taking cocaine, taking in all kinds of drugs... I am SO glad I am strong enough not to get in that sad world.
The good thing about this career is that I am so exhausted I don't have a lot of time to organize pity parties, I am too busy running around in textile shops, office depot, etc lol
Thanks friends for the support!
Here goes another pic.

I remember being held together by pins and tape...whatever side was photographed looked perfect while the rest was twisted all up to make it look just right...
I think this is beautifully done, the angle, the outfit itself, the hair and make up (my frizzy has never shines like that, darn it!) I hope you are super proud of yourself, this looks like something straight out of Vogue.
P.S. I really really love those shoes!!!! Drooling here...
OMG this major fashion illustration community with 600 friends just shared one of the pictures with the message "I love!"
And just this afternoon I saw a teacher.. he asked me to show him an entire collection to organize a catwalk in a store, he will develop his as well. He said he might be able to put a rack of my clothes in the store(s) he does visual merchandising for...
YAY!!
Now I only need a sponsor $$ !! wow! good day today.
God put me in this path, now She has to solve things for me...

Beautiful photos and well balanced fashion design. I love it all. I wish I wasn't such a boring housewife with my clothes, LOL. I wore a pair of wedge sandals today with short shorts and I thought I was looking a bit edgy, LOL!
How amazing are you?
this picture has your brave spirit flowing and shining through it! next time someone posts, in pain, asking if "it ever works out": please post this picture, and how it came about, and just let them see how wonderful life can be when we stop squashing our dreams, mortgaging our happiness and shackling our dreams to crazy situations out of fear.

I overstepped boundaries here and sent these 3 pics to 3 Native American
women friends (2 Navajo and 1 Lakota) of mine to get their reaction to see if theirs was as mine
was.
I am paraphrasing here, but all 3 emails came back saying in essence:
"OMG she has captured the feeling of 'freedom' that we all can be."
They were very very impressed and wondered when and where your
styles were going to be in stores. I had to tell them it would be a while
yet, but they would someday be in many stores.
I told them that I had sent them the pictures without prior authorization
and to please NOT share them until I could get belated permission.
You never know, they know lots of folks and there may be a 'sponsor'
in the Native American community.
I do deeply apologize for 'jumping the gun' but I was just so taken with your
photos that I wanted to share them with some women who are dear
friends and who I just knew would appreciate what your beautiful pics
are depicting. I just did not think to 'ask first' and I am so sorry.
So may they show them to others of their culture?
Love and hugs,
