I'm done..finished..So tired of alcohol being in my life! I have stopped before in 2010-2011 for 243 Days then i went to a birthday party and it began again. I go out 2 times a month and meet friends for happy hour that turns into happy MANY HOURS for me. I will wake the next morning with a horrid hangover, mind is slush and the guilt! The guilt is the worst. It will consume me for 12 days then on the 14th day i go out again

So here I am, I can do this! This time it has to be a lifetime commitment for me. No excuses! Last time I did it on my own but this time I need people in my life that understand and know what I'm going through.. this time I can come here and talk it out instead of just giving in and going out!

good luck & good choice Evie. This sight is a great place to start & I also lean on AA quite heavily--have a sponsor, do service-meetings, worked the steps...there are lots of choices out there to help you. Just remember you now have a choice too! The choice NOT to pick up that 1st drink@!

I am going to begin AA. I can't until next week because of my work schedule but I'm excited about this journey. I've stopped before so I know what is ahead of me and I'm ready to have a support system in place this time!
