I just had to laugh...so, like, let me set the stage.

I'm sitting working on my database here, after lunch, when one of our sales managers (2 cubicles over), LOUDLY announces:

"Hey, everyone, let's go for a WOLLY pop after work, at the pub on the corner."

Get it? Not LOLLIPOP, but WOBBLY POP ('cause, I guess, he is inferring that everyone who goes to the pub will be WOBBLING, at the end).

I had to stifle a laugh....and (since I'm an alkie)...also a quiet, inward, groan.

You see - he is not including me in his invitation...most here at the office know that I am one of THEM.

They are Earthings, and I am the resident alcoholic.

But, just between you and me and the fencepost, I am QUITE convinced that 5 or 6 of those joining him for WOBBLY pops, after work, are not Earthlings, either, but are one of US.

Sigh.

...just felt like sharing this.

But - the good news - I am SOOOO glad I am not joining said Earthlings, as they head over to PP after work.
