Last hurrahs are never a great idea jstar.
I know you're scared but this really is a great opportunity to start a new chapter in your life.

You could make this into a new beginning for you.

Why not go get some rest?
start the new beginning now?

What an exciting opportunity to safely, and sanely get your foundation laid in sobriety. Good luck and let us know how things are going after you complete your program. You will be so pleased at your accomplishments - good job!

Do you think that rehab is going to be scarier than your life right now ?? That's your disease talking.

Clean-up and show-up.. shortly down the line you will be amazed at how wrong you were about sobriety.

All the best.

Celebrity rehab is pretty different than what you're going to go through, i'm sure. Don't go off the deep end tonight, jstar. I'm betting this place is expensive. Don't you want to go in there and be able to participate and start learning and healing ASAP instead of having to start sobering up from scratch? Give yourself a head start now so you're not wasting your time and money. Good luck at rehab. Listen closely and be open minded. There's so much to gain there.

It seems so stupid to me that I put off recovery like it was a punishment / consequence.

It's not. Sober life is just so much better. I'm sure you will find the same thing!

Yea dont know what kind of rehab your going to. If your paying or insured then it could slightly be like the show. But if not.

Like the 20 places here in Cleveland that take you if you can not pay, the amenities are not like that at all. Lots of people to a room . But your feed and housed. Plus if you complete most they help you with jobs and more sober living places. But its not about creature comforts but saving your life.

Stick with it.
