2 weeks clean

Hi everyone, that's me 2 weeks clean today and feeling better about life in general. Just want to know if that's the worst of it over or is there a larger minefield up head ?

Only if you use again. and now you know you don't have to.
Keep doing what you're doing,it seems to be working

Congratulations on two weeks!

Well done on 2 weeks

Yes the worst is over but yes there are minefields out there. You need to get and use the tools and people to help defuse them though. It can be done , have to work for it

You can stay free.

Well done on 2 weeks Count

Everyone is different so it is difficult to predict how you'll feel as time goes by.

For me I know that things got a little better everyday. They still do, but then that means I have to be careful not to become complacent, which I know I would if I didn't have the right support.

Congratulations on 2 weeks that's absolutely wonderful - good for you!

I would say that the first month is the hardest. After that month, it gets easier as every week passes... I'm sober 4 months in 5 days (yay!) and honestly, over the past 4 weeks, everything has changed and I no longer associate seeing alcohol with something that I put into my body... things have drastically improved. So stick with it - the times ahead are only going to get easier and easier and easier.

All the best.

Congratulations Count

I think Inda got it right...Life is life...drunk or not - it has its ups and downs

it does get easier, for sure...but not so easy we don't have to look out for those minefields....

I've found Recovery to be a journey, not a destination...y'know?
