Bust or not :/

What defines a bust? Last night I took double the dose of sleeping pills I am prescribed, not that I know why.

Do I reset the days? Do I just keep going?

Not to sound like a jerk but how do you feel about it? I know in the past when I tried to stop drinking I would slip and have a few. Not get drunk but have a few beers. In my mind I needed to start over, but that's me. If your addiction is pills you may want to start your count over, but only you can decide that. I wish you the best.

Yeah, whatever works for you. It's your recovery.

You definitely keep going - your day count is up to you.
I'm more worried you don't know why you took a double dose tho Emma?

I think it was an attempt to self sabotage to be honest. I knew I wouldn't feel anything from it because they're not that strong. I'll keep going though and see what happens.

Emma, how much sobriety do you have? Is there something in your program that's not working or something that you can add because you're starting to engage in risky behavior. Take your experience as a warning and start reevaluating where you are in your sobriety right now. Do you need to start back to Day 1 right now? If you start over now could it prevent a big relapse in the future? It's not about counting days, it's how you treat yourself in sobriety now. Keep counting your days as you will but revisit what you were practicing earlier in your sobriety and practice it again. Maybe read a little more, go to a few more meetings, meditate a little more. Just don't ignore a warning, ok?

I was only at 2 weeks then. Still counting days, but I went to a beginners meeting last night and called someone up as well.
