It really is possible!!!
It really is possible!!!
To have a fun sober evening!!
I've been round to a friend's house this evening for a meal and chat. Another friend joined us.
We have had THE best time, I've laughed so much I've had tears streaming down my face.
If someone had told me it was really possible to have such a great time sober a few months ago, I never would have believed it! My friends shared a bottle of wine, and I stuck to soft drinks. No pressure on me to join them and I wasn't in the slightest bit tempted.
This is the first time I've truly felt comfortable socialising sober, the first time I haven't felt on edge worried I might relapse, or be questioned, or feel excluded by my sobriety.
This feels fantastic. Not drinking makes the evening better, not worse!
Now, who'd have believed that? Not me, but it's true!!xx
