So much change.
I know I have not been posting at all recently. This does not mean I have fallen off the wagon or retreated back to alcohol. Just the opposite actually. I have been very busy with the summer season. July 5th marked 6 months sober, and two months without cigarettes. I have felt so much stronger in these past few weeks. I probably won't post for a long time now because of some amazing news that came to me the other day. I am pregnant! My husband and I have been trying for awhile and now I am happy to say the urge to drink is completely gone. I am so excited about this new chapter of my life and I truly believe it never would have been without taking the time to sober up. Thank you for helping me the first few months. I will make sure to check in every once in awhile.

ohmygosh! congrats on the 6 months and the pregnancy! i am hoping that after a year or so of sobriety my husband and i can start trying. i've had to put it off for so long that it's driving me mad. that is just too exciting. i wish all the best for you and your family!

Congratulations to you, Cat626. There are some huge changes for sure, just wait til that little bundle arrives.
I read some of your previous posts to learn that you did this 'on your own' as they say, and that is wonderful too. You are a terrific example of what happens when you can just say, enough, no more. I quit.
I bet your little one will love music, too. Keep us posted on this greatest event.
