To My SR Family a Confession
Thanks to all you missing me, I've been hiding out, isolating. Not a sip of vodka in months but have been getting scared, like it's just a matter of time--I always screw up. So I just kind of stayed low like I can't get 86ed if I keep my ass in the grass. Then it came to me that behavior was just pulling the pin and cradling the grenade (once again). So here I am. It's good to have my eyes open even if I don't always like what I see. I guess, bottom line, I need you all, lots of traps on the trail.

When I was isolating a couple months ago someone told me "I get drunk, We get sober"
Also that alcohol wanted to get me alone and if it did it would kill me.

Welcome back, Fitz. Crazy the ideas we get early in recovery. It's as if the addiction is trying to get us to isolate, to doubt ourselves. At least that was my experience. Glad to see you decided to listen to your instincts instead, reach back out again. Good to have you here!
