if you are thinking of drinking

Don't do it. Fight the urge. Fight the AV. Pray..It so isn't worth it. I gave in to the drink on Fri. I chose to drink. The false relief of the first beer was a big price to pay for the many that followed and the miserable Sat. morning and hungover afternoon.

I didnt binge this time so maybe recovery is sinking in. I told my temp sponsor. It is a new day. Today I woke up without a hangover. Today I will not drink. I will get this as long as I don't give up. And I won't.

I'm sorry...setbacks are common in early recovery (don't I know it) and it sounds like you've done just the right thing in calling your sponsor and getting right back on track.

Soldier on...understanding the process of how the addictive voice works is key.

You're getting it. Good job for not wallowing in the misery.

And thanks for sharing...it DOES help others!

Big hugs
