Feeling Hopeful Today
I'm grateful for this forum. I haven't had any alcohol in five days. Reading through these posts has been incredibly helpful when I have the urge to drink. I wish I would have found this site a long time ago. I feel hopeful that I might actually be able to do this. Thank you so much.

I'm feeling the hope myself, cmc- congrats on five days! That is a great start. I found I couldn't get a lot of traction until I started working on my other issues as well. Please keep us posted, we are here to support you when you need a lift up!
This site is great for getting through the cravings. It's kinda like having a thousand 'sponsors' at your disposal 24/7. I need to constantly remind myself why I can't drink and this place keeps me in the right frame of mind.

Totally agree with this. I stopped in Jan and was on this site every day. During Feb my visits to the site slowed down and by end Feb I was drinking again. For me, using the site daily reinforces the message of not drinking. I appreciate not everyone needs it that way but for me, this site helps me more than words can express.
Totally agree! I love this site, and there is no doubt in my mind that I could have got this far without it.
It doesn't matter how big or small your issue is, if it's enough to trigger a drink, then post it first! Someone here will understand and respond. We might all live totally different lives, but we're all alcoholics and we get it!
We can all do this, and by sticking together we stand the best chance whatever our recovery methods.
Keep reading and posting, and welcome to the family xx
