Wink Oh no.... Not again!

Posts about gratitude have been posted a gagillion times I know.... But this one is mine.

Through my waves of sobriety, gratitude has hit me on the head. It's been doing that with some regularity recently. Sometimes I beat it to the punch and see it coming.

There's probably few life events that bring the gratitude that an abstinent person feels after we wake from our deep sleep.

I could get all wallowy and mushy and share my list of "damn I'm great full for that" Stuff.

But how about I leave It simply as ..... today... And nearly every sober day... I continue to see and discover new reasons to never drink again.

My self worth has grown leaps and bounds. If I am not careful I may almost like myself.

Part of the gratitude I feel is for you folks.

We each have to do our own heavy lifting but having you there gives me the strength I need to get the job done. No doubt about it!

My best to all of you this fine sober day!

Awesome. How can we ever have too many of these posts?

Gratitude is the most powerful tool in my box. Sometimes it just comes on me a great, wonderful wave. Other times, when I'm feeling low, I make a conscious effort to remind myself of what I have to be grateful for. And yeah, sobriety is high on the list. It's not like that means I'll suddenly have cartoon birds fluttering all around me. Let's face it, some days are just down days. But reminding myself like that takes some of the sting out, and drives home an awareness that down days don't last forever.

When I read how much people are struggling or going back out to drink again, I really am grateful for being sober.
