12 weeks on
It's 12 weeks since my commitment to sobriety.
My mood was pretty low for the first 2-3 weeks but then rose quite rapidly over the next 2-3 weeks. I knew I had put alcohol in my past, but I was still irritable and had poor sleep.
Today I'm feeling fantastic, and am very much at peace with putting alcohol in my past. I've just done the 'old fashioned' thing of signing a pledge for one year's sobriety (with the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association as my faith is important to me and I have approached this from a spiritual perspective).
I'd just like to say a big thank you to all who contribute here - I have found this site an inspiration, especially when I was feeling low, and definitely benefit from hearing the stories of so many different people.
God bless you all, and I look forward to continuing to be inspired and encouraged here at SR.

congratulations Michael on 12 weeks and your committment to your sobriety...it gets better everyday even if the s2it does hit the fan- we learn to deal with everything instead of drinking it away. good for you.

Congrats Michael! wow 12 weeks!! thats 3 months!!!! amazing! Im only on 3 weeks myself but i too feel amazing and fantastic!! still little bouts of fuzzy head feeling and that annoying alcohol voice..but ive learned to turn a deaf ear to it I cant wait till I hit your level and see how great im feeling after 3 months. Proud of you!
