Saw person outside aa meeting

I had posted this a couple of weeks back and finally had some resolution so I wanted to let folks know what happened. By way of back ground , I am pretty new to the program. Two months and I ran into an AA person at a restaurant. I said hello and when I saw him at a mtg he gave me the cold shoulder. We missed each other over the next couple of weeks and today I finally got a chance to see him at a mtg today. I approached him and apologized for acknowledging him in public and I was sorry if I jeopardized his anonymity in any way. He looked at me as if I was speaking Latin! He said he was thrilled to see me out with my family having a joyous time. I explained I was new and he said he understood and and advised me to always on the err of the side of discretion if there is a question and it will not be confused for rudeness. He was such a gent. I knew I liked this guy!

very cool! i saw a gal outside of an AA meeting at my grocery deli. she was very cool. she hadn't seen me at meetings in a while and invited me to go with her and her dad to one. right place, right time since i was needing a meeting and i really didn't have any friends in the area. i really wish i still lived up there. i get the feeling that her and i could have become close.

I'm sure that was a relief, mds. I tend to be hyper-sensitive, & need to give it a rest.
