first day
So proud to report that today was the vary first time that I have attended AA. I am not under a court order, I am just sick and tired of the drinking. I woke up this morning and for some wierd reason I made up my mind to stop drink. I know that this is going to be hard for me but I am willing to do what it takes.

Awesome , I myself went under my own power. I dont know how I didnt ever get sent to meeting thru court with being charged with 4 dui's ... But in any event I have been in the program now since June of 2011. I owe it everything and just love being apart of it.

I know how difficult it can be to take those steps into that first meeting, well done on your resolve and determination...i'm going myself tomorrow for my third one and it's the best thing I have done !! .. keep on posting and letting us know how your doing

My sponsor had me do a God Box or a Higher Power Box when I first got into AA. It worked miracles for me.
I am 6 months into sobriety, and I am still on that 1st step - I am powerless over alcohol and it makes my life unmanageable.
