What would you feel like if you where 50 today?

If I was 50 today I would feel really good about myself. I just quit drinking at age 42, so I would be approx 8 years old.

Thank my Higher Power for that! If I where 50 and still working the program like I have been, I will be so grateful.

If I hadn't stopped drinking/addictions I would be a miserable mess, waking up to hangovers and still the same miserable person I was 6 months ago. Now I have a plan, a plan that does not include alcohol.

I am so grateful for AA, it has given me my life back!!

Congratulations SoberBrooke! That is truly fantastic!

Well six days ago I actually turned fifty. LOL. And I felt great. Tomorrow I have 150 days under my belt. Does that mean I am only 150 days old? Cause some days it feels like it!

If I was 50 today I would feel fantastic because I would be 19 years sober and therefore 19 years old! I like your thinking Soberbrooke x

Keep coming back, Brooke, and let AA work it's magic on you.

Yep, there's nothing like reaching life's milestones and being able to remember the years that came before. It is a wonderful thing to know that whatever mistakes we make (and we do) alcohol was not involved.

Life is so much better without alcohol!

I heard that who I am today is the sum of where I was five years ago.

That means that five years from today I will be 50, sober, fit, healthy married to a windeful man and with a wonderful meaningful career.

That is, if I take action today to make these things come true.

Today! Odaat

Yep, this ex alkie will never see 50 again either. On the other hand, I am in better shape in every way now than I was 5 years ago, so there you are. Onward.

Yes, I'd be six years younger, but really only 72 days old...or the age I was when I started drinking which was 17 years old...I'll just take today...

8-11-90 was my first full day sober and
was 30 yrs. old. This coming August, if I
don't drink, i'll have 22 yrs sobriety in my
early 50's.

Today, I feel quite young like as if Im still
a child enjoying a life I should have had when
I was growing up.

So many experiences, strengths and hopes thru
out the yrs. to define who I am today. Happy,
sober and content.

3 yrs. married after a 25 yr marriage ended.
Planning our second trip to Sturgis, have quite
a few lovely, vibrant tattoos, piercings, and have
gone from a brunette to a blonde.

Only in recovery that I can truely be who I am
suppose to be. ME..!
