6 months today
And soon I'll have to move over to the 1 year and over area!
So in case anyone here has noticed, I haven't been posting a ton. Mainly, I've been living my life!
In the past 6 months, I've had a ton of firsts - work retreat, multiple vacations, wedding anniversary. I've joined a book club, I go to AA mtgs several times a week, I have a small circle of non-drinking friends, I meet with my sponsor/friend once per week.
My relationship with my husband is 10 times better. I've worked out more this month than I have in years. I've lost the 6 lbs I gained by eating sweets since I quit drinking. I'm still losing. My diet is much better now. I've cut calories drastically and now eat much healthier.
And I still treat myself - when I go to movies I do get the small popcorn with butter! But not before I go to the gym!
So, in essence, things are great! I'm planning another vacation this Aug. I'm looking forward to my 40th birthday - sober. I can't wait for the holidays.
