Thank you

Yesterday was an intense and desperate day For me. I woke hopeless and what felt like a very broken spirit.

I went to bed much different. Due to the kindness and support shown me yesterday through the many responses to my plea for help.

Inner child posted this morning about the fear of self expression. If anyone I know were to read my posts they would see something I let no one see.

People can tell you what I would think before they can tell you what I would feel.

I want that to change. It has changed because of SR.

Yesterday's events were that much more over the top.... You know why?

I want my sobriety more than I ever wanted anything in my life.

It wasn't because the pain of sobering up was any different.

it was my disappointment made it so unbearable.

I suspect that's a point those who remain sober come to and obey.

My gratitude goes beyond words.

Thank you!

Yes, absolutely!

Weasel, you are allowing the goodness of your soul to shine through and to help keep you on the path of recovery. I think one of the reasons that we slip and relapse is because we don't think we're worthy of succeeding and having a good life. But we are.

weasel;
I am so grateful to you for sharing these emotions with us here - it is in this way that we all benefit from your experiences and therefore it is not in vain. Pain is necessary for growth, and you have grown tremendously. Im so glad for you that you really want sobriety. God bless!!
