Thought I would say helllo
I'm new here. I've had cross addictions with painkillers and typical party drugs on and off for years.
It's been over 3 months since I quit the party stuff (mdma, coke, etc.), quit smoking pot, and quit drinking. I'm currently in the process of tapering down off percocet.
I decided to quit while I still had control, and could walk away before things got really out of hand. So I figured it would be best to talk to people who are going down the same road I'm on.
I'm on an anti depressant which helps a lot, but my body still feels like it's having a civil war inside itself at times.

Welcome to SR JoJo and congrats on trying to sober up! I myself have no experience with drug abuse, my crutch was alcohol..but regardless..an addiction is an addiction and we are all better off without the BS that comes along with "partying" and "numbing" ourselves to the point of oblivion!!! This is an excellent site with so many wonderful people...im sure you will find allot of love and support and strength here!!! good luck on your journey to sobriety and the newer better you!!! Stay strong, Stay sober and Keep the faith!!!!

Welcome to SR JoJo
Kicking dope can be a big pain in the butt and there is no easy to do it other than to go through it and get to the clean side of life.
You can check out the Substance Abuse - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information forum and see whats happen there with other members going through the same thing. Also there are 'stickies' at the top of the forum with good info on recovery. Glad to have you here at SR.

Hey sorry it took so long for my replies. Getting used to sober living while working and going to school and etc is, well tough. But I want to thank all of you that replied to my post, it really does help to know that there are other people wishing me success and know some of the hardships I'll face.
It helps A LOT, so thank you again.
