4 days sober and really struggling
So I've made it though the week so far but I'm feeling the pressure stacking up against me for tomorrow night. It's Friday tomorrow and you're supposed to drink on a Friday.
I know there is no justifiable reason for thinking this and am asking God for help. Will go to a meeting tonight and call someone if I need too.

I spent 20 years thinking you had to drink on a Friday too.
I've spent most of the last 5 and half years wondering why I ever wasted so much of my life
You can change those thoughts - and after that first weekend I found it does get easier - stick with it Spikeman

You DON'T have to drink on friday. You have just been led to believe that. Breaking alcohol also means breaking old habits. You can't think like that anymore. Go see a movie, Go to dinner, or go bowling. Do anything except drink!
