After withdrawals....what next?
After withdrawals....what next?
okay so what now, husband on Librium. After seizure and ER visit. So 4 days no drinking and I don't know what to expect next.
I imagine the Librium needs to be tapered down, then will he have withdrawals from that too?
I know he needs AA or therapist. We have no insurance, so i can't get him to a dr just yet (if even willing)
Just looking for insight as to where his head will be in a few days.
I know he will drink again, but I want to be aware what he will go thru. Mostly worried about the librium leaving his system....any experiences welcome. I need to go back to work in 2 days....
aaarrrggghhhhhhh

"I know he will drink again,"
I think you answered your own question...he will start drinking again.
This has been going on for a very long time, what are your bounderies? Why do keep
putting yourself through this?
He can go to AA anytime he decides to and until he does nothing will change.

Amber,
I read your first post from 7 years ago.....anvilhead is right. Time to start worrying about and taking care of you. Mine has detoxed so many times, I've lost count. Now I simply wonder if she will survive the night. I had to start taking care of me because I was literally losing my mind. Advice like anvilhead saved me....there is nothing I can do for her. That upsets me but it is what it is.
Please take care of you.
