Tough weekend!!
Hello everyone! I am proud to say I made it though the weekend and i'm on Day 16.
I'm a photographer and I had to shoot a Wedding this weekend for the daughter of a friend of mine. It was my first ever wedding, and I was going to have another Photographer split the job with me, so I didn't have to do EVERYTHING. Well wouldn't you know he had to have his gallbladder out 3 days before the wedding and that left me all by myself. I was SOOO nervous.
During the recpetion I was offered so many drinks. It was pretty hard to resist, especially because I know it would have taken that nervous edge off, but I refused. When it became pretty much all about the drinking I told them I had to leave. The Bride's mother (my friend) is a photographer as well and said I could go and that she had it from there. Whew. It was hard, but I made it!!!

Thanks everyone! I was SO proud of myself. I know one drink (even just the toast) would have led to more, so I politley declined with "my dad is in rehab. I've stopped drinking as well" I figure if i tell the truth up front, it'll be more likely that i'll get over the pressue of it when people know I have a problem.

It really was tough, but photography is my passion. I knew I was putting myself in a sticky situation, but I knew I could overcome it with my camera in my hand. Sounds silly, but it worked!

You can do it!! I drank a bottle of water and a diet coke! I also ate fruit and cheese to keep my idle hands busy!
