Wink I canceled my birthday dinner.

So, in about a month I had planned on getting a whole mess of people together to get blasted and celebrate my 28th birthday. This was all before I had decided to stop drinking. I have felt so good since I have decided to stop and I do not want this feeling to go away. I struggled for days deciding whether or not to cancel, but the temptation to drink and spiral downward would be too hard for me to handle. I think my sanity is way more important than a dinner at this point.

((KMC)) - Good for you!! That's probably the best birthday present you can give to yourself

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

I just had my first sober birthday in 15 years and it was my 30th. It was the best birthday yet - no blackouts, no anxiety, no shame, no feeling poorly and I can remember it all. My wonderful family had a mad hatters tea party for me with lemonade and tea and sandwiched and jelly and ice cream :-)
Have a fab birthday and well done on the great resolve to stay sober x
