Howdy all, checking back in to say that it's Day 15 for me and starting to feel a little better each day. Still not normal yet but beginning to think that I might be there some day. Eating lots of things I never ate much of while I was drinking - vegetables/fruits, etc...
I don't crave getting drunk but I do still crave the taste of beer. While the bulk of my drinking was done at home with mostly cheap beer, my daily routine involved usually stopping after work for one or 2 beers at a local microbrew pub. The brewmaster is an artist of beermaking and the varitety of tastes he creates are something I miss very much. I envy those that can control their drinking to just have one and enjoy the flavors.
So while i'm not a veteran I can say that for those just starting out it does get better than the first week...that was hell.
