21 days?!
holy crap. today makes 21 days for me. i cannot even recall the last time i went this long without drinking. hitting meetings every night, and getting to know more and more people.
still fighting some cravings here and there, but being so focused on sobriety instead of just 'quitting drinking' is really making a difference.
i am, however, completely exhausted! by about 3 pm each day i just want to melt into my couch and sleep for 60 hours. hoping this is just part of recovery. i've been keeping myself pretty busy, which is easy to do as i have essentially done nothing for the past several years but drink.
thinking maybe my new activity level (guess raising a beer to my face every four minutes wasn't quite that active) might be contributing. anyone else go through this?
mentally i'm ready to be running around fixing up my house and yard and doing fun things with friends, but my body says 'nap. nap. nap. NAP.
thanks all- hope everyone is having a good, sober day.
xoxo

ABSOLUTLY TERRIFIC - CONGRATS
While drinking you ran your body through some pretty horrific situations, gonna be a bit before it recovers. The advice I was given, keep hydrating lots, make sure you get lots of electrolytes (some good power drinks have some) and lots of exercise and soon you'll be back full tilt.
Just do a little more each day, ... and maybe walk to the meetings
Congrats - huge
