Talking 90 Days!

I earned my green coin today!! i've really enjoyed the journey so far and am looking forward to many more days of sobriety. I owe a lot to AA. AA taught me that i needed to have some kind of Higher Power to turn to and rely on when things get tough. Be it a spiritual guid or the doorknob to a meeting. Just anything. Believe me, it's helped. It's also taught mw that rigorous honesty will keep me sober and it has. When i find deceit creeping into my life, i know it's the addict it me coming out and i squish it before it gets out of hand. Sobriety is a lot of work. It's a total lifestyle change but considering where i was 3 months ago, nothing but a total upheaval of my life was going to work. I couldn't just change the bits and pieces that were convenient to change. I had to change it all and actually work for my sobriety. It had to be hard at first. How could it not be? I was doing everything wrong in my life. I was upside down and i had to turn my life end over end to get it rightside up. My life is finally starting to really settle into place now. There are still pieces to be moved around but all in all my life seems to have really clicked into it's sober place. I hope my story brings hope to those just starting out or anyone going through a rough patch. Sobriety is there. If i can do it, you can do it.

90 days is really impressive - I haven't gotten there in my 17 year drinking career. Curious, what were some of changes you saw at major milestones, for example 30-60-90 days?

Grits,
A great post, telling people how it is getting sober, work and rewards. If sobriety can be counted in days, you sound a lot more sober than 90 to me.

love
