Oh Lord Help Me Make A Waffle

Just volunteered to do this at the local farmer's market. I've never made a waffle in my life, but most things I've never done in my life. Gotta be better than an MCI (C-Ration) but maybe not. As I understand it, I pour batter into a thing, close and cook it then cover in whipped cream and strawberries. I think my real job is to shill people in which I'm pretty good at. If things go South I have a couple of vet assistants who can kick butt if they had legs to kick. I'm kind of excited about it, to see what the heck a Fitz-Waffle turns out to be. My next project is feeding/caring for homeless pets. Well they are not technically homeless, their owners are. The dogs are probably pretty cool with it. I think this is a pretty good recovery thing for me depending on how Fitz-Waffles turn out. Any waffle makers out there?

That sounds like such a wonderful thing to do for your recovery, and it sounds like fun! I can't give you any waffle tips, but I am good at eating them.

The waffle proceeds go to a homeless vet center here, don't think I mentioned it. I think they'll eat the leftovers, me too. I connected through my treatment program and PTSD, so we can suffer waffles in brotherhood. Really most seeminly curses turn out to blessings if your heart is open. Hopefully I can con a waffle boot camp prior.

Fitz, you ARE the waffle.

It sounds great, and don't worry about the waffles. It's the camaraderie and getting out there meeting new people that is important. Just have fun.

I've pulled the trigger on people in my life but I'm learning pulling the t on myself brings nothing back. The love I got yesterday made me think maybe waffles and dog food was a better bet. I figure with luck, I've got 15-20 years left, I might as well do something wothwhile, comforting a neighbor, making a Fitz-Waffle, holding a dog and owner, its all good stuff. It's not pay back, that can't happen but its now and moving forward. What about some fresh ground cinnoman for those who might like it, just an idea.

Where I live there's a place that serves waffles and fried chicken. I love the homeless pet deal.

Ever play with clay as a kid? Like where you put it in molds to make shapes? It's more or less the same concept.

Waffle and peanut butter? I know a dude with Walther PPK but they aren't the clients, mabe I'll set up a waffle bar and people can add there own ingrediants, as long as they pay and understand its not the waffle they are paying for.

I agree on the peanut butter A waffle bar is a good idea. A restaurant I worked at, we would put "extras" on the kids' pancakes..they wanted chocolate chips, m&m's, etc., adults liked various fruit and whipped cream.

Really cool that you are doing this!

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

I'm a waffle novice so much to study and learn but the cause is together the vets have nothing but bad dreams with no roof for shelter. So people can eat the best waffles I can make or choke.
