what a weekend
Today is 31 days dry for me. Was so close to the edge on Sat night when my 11 yr old broke his wrist, being that he is a cancer survivor, anything happens to him i tend to freak out. I was home alone, son was at an out of town tournament, older son was out with GF, but he came home to check on me which was really cool. Just went to bed so i would stop thinking about it.
Sunday a cousin from CA came for a visit, so I had all my family over made dinner, they where all drinking and having fun, me drinking my sparkling water. My youngest wounded son, comes over sits down and looks at everyone drinking and enjoying themselves, looks at my water and leans over and asks how long dad? I told him 30 day, and he's like good job dad. Damn that really meant alot. He will never know how much that means to me.
So days are great some are bad. But overall I can not believe how much better, mentally and physically I feel. I actually feel like I am living my life now. Thanks for the ear. Gary

You think about that any time you want to pick up a drink. Don't ever lose that. That's beautiful.
