So, I don't deserve a parade but....

I did not drink nor even contemplate drinking while my husband was gone this weekend. First time ever. I always drank when he went out of town.

It feels so good to be sober and to have nothing to hide and no guilty conscience. And no fiending for alcohol because I drank all weekend. I know it is what I am SUPPOSED TO BE DOING ANYWAY, but I am still proud. I did not toot my horn at my husband either.

This weekend is an example of a Higher Power working in my life.

Oh, and my 30 days is this week. We are going to be beach Wednesday so I will have to pick up my chip next week.

YaY sober beach trip!!!!

Way to go Elizabeth. I am sure you puppy provided you support. . I went to the beach this weekend and in the past I always brought beer. Not this weekend however. And to be honest it was one of the most pleasurable weekends in a long time ( aside from the bug bite on my nose which is now infected and has my almost swollen shut

Keep up the good work. Today is day six for me.

That's AWESOME! I'm on day 10 and have literally had to surround myself with people - the alone thing is a dangerous place for me right now. It is inspiring to hear that someone else got through an alone "noone will know" time with flying colors.

Great job Elisabeth, that's so awesome! It's a great feeling to put your mind to something and know you're accomplishing it -- you SHOULD be very proud of yourself!

Great job! Having the house to myself would definitely have been a trigger for me too. So glad you were able to overcome it! Love the spongebob parade!

That is so awesome Elisabeth! Doesn't it feel awesome to make that paradigm shift from doing it for your husband to doing it for yourself and having that HP consciousness and wanting to be pleasing to HP? That is KEY!

Congrats! you do deserve a parade! I am clapping for you!

That's great news Elisabeth! I think it's great when we get past thoughts of "no one will know." We will know. Glad to see you're staying sober for yourself -- which is the right reason!
