Boundaries - I said NO
My friend wanted to come over after work tonight - said he'd be back in city around 11:30 - asked me to wait up for him.
So I wait up.
At 1:30 I get a text that he's just leaving for city (takes an hour)
I text back saying I wish he'd have let me know sooner - since I waited up.
He wanted to come by.
I said NO. It's too late.
He whined and tried to coerce me a few times. I just said NO - talk to you later.
I'm very proud of myself. Normally I'd have given in and resented him for it.
Of course now it's 2:30 in the am (I haven't been sleeping and I really COULD have gone to bed at 10 - my bad - I should have)
Im eating peanut butter toast and drinking milk.
Thank God for this forum.
Grrr...
