Ever Had Evenings When You Need SR Like an Extra Hit of Oxygen?

That would be me this evening but thankfully the oxygen mask always drops down with cabin depressionation but even though I can't see it inflating I know it's working. Put it on myself first then assist others.

Yes! My mother in law kept me on the phone for over an hour and then my sponsor yacked for about 40 minutes.

I would much rather be on the computer than talk on the phone.

Yes! I definitely get how you feel. I have great friends who will listen to my woe's, but it's so much more satisfying to tell it to people who GET it. Plus I find the writing aspect of it therapeutic.

I hope whatever has you down sorts its self out soon... Or even your time spent here tonight gets that chin up!

Yea, things are going on that produce in me a strong desire to drink but then I think of a line from a Jimmy Dale Gilmore song-"I'd kill myself but it makes no sense committing suicide in self defense." That's metaphoric but that would be what I'd be doing. The thing I know is pain passes if I allow the process. I do think God the SR family is here and I hope I do and can pass it on, the help not the hurt. And I think of like Dee and what's he is going through and he has always been here for me. It's like calling medic, medic and you know they'll come through. Despite all it is a beautiful evening out and it is a blessing to be a part of it.

I know just what you mean, Fitz. I come here feeling down, and sure enough the pain does pass. I'm among friends who really get me.
