Thanks and and introduction.
Hi SR group.
I wanted to thank you all for your inspirational and candid posts. Since I have been silently benefiting from your words, I though I would briefly introduce myself.
I entered an intensive outpatient program at the end of December. I had a fair amount of success, but when they reduced my group to one time per week, I lost some ground and started drinking here and there.
After my counselor said that I needed to decide if I wanted to keep "dating recovery", I realized I had to take the responsibility of my recovery to another step. I began attending AA meetings, and following these forums.
Both have been very helpful, and I am feeling pretty positive right now. I am currently at 21 consecutive days sober.
I am looking forward to continue to draw strength from the experiences of others, and hope maybe someday I will be able to give something back.
Thanks again!
