I named my AV
Warning this post is not politically correct.
I live on Long Island NY. I am heading out to “Jersey” to see some family. I do this every few weeks.
Typically when I get back my track record for sobriety and drugging is bad. Like always bad.
Being day 5 and all I decided to take matters into my own hands… so today I named my AV.
Since he is a slimball I thought long and hard……“Guido”! (after the Sopranos not the Jersey Shore! )
Anyways…..
So me and “Guido” here are gonna take a little ride…. You know …. to do some “business”
The kind where two go out but only one comes back.

I like that. Guido the Slimeball. And any thought about alcohol at all that might lead to a drink, even in the future, is not your voice, but Guido the Slimeball's.
I wanted to do some business with my Guido too, like Terminate with Extreme Prejudice, sick and tired of the rat b@s*@rd, but I decided to give him what he truly deserves. I just ignore him now. He's there sometimes all right, but I just give him a look and turn away. Not even worth a pail of cement.

I am Italian as well.... So many Guido cousins. So I can relate.
I find it easier on what I know will be tough days to figure out a way to kill off my AV.
Yesterday was the air tight box.
Naming him also helps to pick his voice out of all the others in my head.
AVRT is working very very well for me.
It has been much easier to get to day 5 than ever before.
I am both grateful and happy.

Ghostly! Ah!!!! That's from risky business!
I loved Guido in that.

Day six here... Going strong... Love myself and my choices.

I named mine Elmira, and I picture her in a ugly but pressed suit, trying to be the slick liason for alcohol, trying to trick me into going back to alcohol. I put her in a have-a-heart animal trap... with a rabid squirrel... down in the basement. Happy Sunday!
