Trying to get sober
Hello all. Not much to say here except I'm an alcoholic attempting to get sober. I have an AA sponsor now, and I'm hoping for the best. I joined this forum because I thought I could get some good insight from those who have come before me.

Getting sober seemed like an insurmountable feat at first, but coming here every day made a huge difference. It's awesome that you're taking action on this! Things really will get better!

Welcome to SR Zeos..11 Months ago I did the same you are doing. Went to meetings..Got a sponsor...Read the Big Book a couple times...Worked the steps. Everything promised in that book came true and continues too. They told me if I want what they had...I had to do what they did. It was as simple as that. Enjoy your journey...It's awesome. This is a great site to share it with and get additional support. Glad you are here.

Welcome aboard Zeos! This site is great as a constant reminder that you are not alone in your struggle. I find that coming here helps me get through cravings or when I need to find some inspiration.
