Another great day in recovery
Just wanted to post today, and let everyone know how happy I am today in recovery.I have a great sponsor & great new friends.I don't isolate anymore.
Went on a retreat last weekend,and went to a meeting at a woman's home Wed. because she is unable to get out because of neck surgery.This shows me that people do care about others when we take a meeting to someone's home.
Tonight my sponsor is the speaker at a speaker meeting,and Monday a bunch of us women in recovery are having a cookout.Amazing that before I only left my home to get booze or pills!!!

It is pretty amazing...Last year at this time I'd be drinking alone this weekend....Going to a nice BBQ with a bunch of AA friends on Sunday....Had cake in this morning's meeting for my friend that just celebrated 25 years...What a difference. I'm happy for you zorilla

Sounds fun!
One thing I have noticed in my sobriety is you find things you enjoy now.. the world is our playground... Its nice to rediscover it with clear eyes, sober mind and body and an open heart!
