Three months and good so far.
Well, it has been a couple of days over three months since I quit drinking. My major problem with quitting has been that I have developed a major-league sweet tooth now that the alcohol is gone. After a week of doing candy I found that taking a gram of L-glutamine every day helps a lot with the sweet tooth; I am actually loosing weight (15 lb so far) in my sobriety. The glutamine also seems to help with whatever occasional craving for alcohol I might have (this is not medical advice, just a personal observation). Sober life is much sweeter than any candy or cookies anyway. And, I like myself a lot more now than I did four months ago. I'm off to visit friends and relatives in Scotland in ten days and am confident that I'll be able to pass by the pubs and say no to the single malt

Congratulations on three months! Congratulations on the weight loss also. I dropped a lot of weight since quitting drinking also and now I'm around the weight I at when I was a teenager lol. Glad you're enjoying life and it keeps getting better
