It's Friday!!!

Well it is for me at least, and literally it is Friday. For some that might be other days of the week.

Friday was always a huge trigger for me. No work... it's time to write myself off until Sunday nights recovery period!

NOT THIS TIME.

Going to clean the house, mow/weed eat the yard, go to the gym, and help my stepmom move, and then maybe, god forbid... treat myself to some home cooked steaks and movie.

BUT I WILL NOT DRINK.

I'll be around the chat room all weekend!!!

Very same thing for me.... I have money this weekend and time. So I sent all my extra cash to a credit card so I had none.

Have plans for dinner in NYC sat night.

Exercise.

I will not fail to have a completely sober Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday!

I will takeon next week when I have completed this.

If anyone needs support IM me and we can stay sober together.

Hello weekend!

I'm with you dude - busy busy! Going for a run first thing to get my blood moving, then I got a full list of lovely things to do, starting with cleaning the flat (yeah, yeah, but it can't all be fun and games ) finishing a tattoo, cooking rice pudding, fixing up my bike, Pilates, chat to my dad, rent a movie...the first couple of weeks that I quit I couldn't imagine how I'd ever fill a Saturday. Now I like seeing how much a human being can do between sunrises. My legs are gonna blur!

I'm really thinking about getting a tattoo... I have always said to myself I never would, but I for some reason want to try something out of my little alcoholic box and live a little.

Just gotta make sure I get something I really want and something that means a lot to me.

You know I didn't get my tatoo until I was sober. Not sure why I didn't in my using days. Good thing I didn't, I have no idea what I would have gotten.

Remember whatever it is, you will have it on you forever.

Okay, this is advice that I was given and has really served me well:

Spend a lot of time working out what you want and where you want it.

Get a picture of the design and put it somewhere you'll see it every day - kitchen is good.

Keep it there for six months. If you still think it's beautiful, if it's still a piece of art that you want on your body for the rest of your life, if you still get excited at the though of wearing it on your skin, go do it. Go right and do it

We're tattooing the right side of my body, very gradually. I have a panel on my belly and my thigh and the liner for my calf - we're doing the filler tomorrow. It's completely beautiful and I love it.

Get looking at designs!

Friday was also a trigger for my cocaine use as I had all weekend to party and I always find it difficult as I start to think about people having a good time drinking/ taking drugs.

I actually know exactly what I want, and it's the only thing I'd ever get.

It's a little nerdy, but it means a lot to me on about a million levels.

Hey England. Same here. Fridays = coke

I sent all extra cash out of my account. I opened a saving in a bank with no ATM access so no late night runs.

I never did drugs unless I drank. One meant the other for sure.

Just focus on not taking that first drink. Focus on filling time with other stuff like others have mentioned.

Best to all!

It's actually the Triforce emblem from The Legend of Zelda.

Computers/Games/Technology have been my passion since I can remember seeing a tv/atari. I went to college for Computer Science/Digital Forensics and now I have a career working in IT.

When I was about... 13ish The Nintendo 64 came out, and while my mom was staying high and never home, I would play Zelda on my N64 for hours and hours with my friend. Even though it's something strange and nerdy it's gotten me through some tough times and has become a source of livelyhood for me. I want to get it on my forearm.

That little emblem encompasses a lot for me.

So yeah....

I'm bored! Drunk me would be wasted by now. I was even invited out for wine with co-workers and declined the invitation. "Do you want to go out for a glass of wine?" I replied "no thank you, I quit" and she said "Good for you!" so now I'm at home. Played some video games and ate a salad.

Then I sat outside and smoked a cigarette and really contemplated going out for liquor.

I didn't do it. I logged on to SR. And here I am. Trying to stay sober.

Cool! I've still got my SNES - I love Zelda. Forearm is visible, but as long as you've got a job that doesn't care, or involves wearing long sleeves I'd say go for it. You've wanted it for a long time, it isn't an impulse...why not?

My tats are visible now - all the way down to my foot, which limits what I can wear for work, but I love them. Would you have it in yellow, or filles black, or filled detail?

It's going on my forearm, and unfortunately, I would have to cover it up for work.

That's not a big deal, but it gets really hot here, and wearing long sleeves everyday doesn't seem too appealing.

IDK yet... still contemplating ... but man I really want it.
