Spinach

I always enjoyed the rush, I avoided overwhelming problems with it .
I forgot or wore with pride hangovers ignored money and work issues.
I was gripped within a few months of drinking.
Life was good when you ignore the problems staring you in the face.
How my wife put up with me I have no idea.
Today I sit sober for the last few months realising that I am becoming the person I wanted to be, enjoying the reduced pain ,happy with the extra cash reveling in the extra bonds being formed at home.
I have altered my views on what highs and lows are and have noticed a substance to my life that is filling gaps and breaks in my life that I find impossible to find a word for its almost intangible but at the same time has a greater solidity than anything else in my world.
Anyone able to bring a description or even know what I am talking about.
I'm not talking higher powers it's nearer satisfaction with inconsequential stuff.
I suppose I'm asking for a name for it or maybe letting others who haven't found it yet that it's there for all and that's a perfect example of what I mean . A depth in life that fills varied purposes.
