Chest pain can radiate from other parts of the body so don't panic that it's a heart problem just yet...glad you're getting checked out though x

Glad you're getting checked out

I had a lot of chest pains but they turned out to be anxiety related for me - I hope they find out it's something like that for you too, BB

Thanks Hyp, doctor said that my heart may have expanded due to heavy drinking and smoking and may be causing the pain, I hope not tho, whats your story?

That's a scary thing to say before tests!

Too early to tell for me yet but I'm pretty sure mine were just stomach pains/anxiety x

I had them very early on when I was having intense anxiety. Drinking definitely worsened it, especially the next morning. But I did get checked out which you should too. Mine had nothing to do with my heart, it was as Hypo said, felt like my heart but radiated from anxiety from other parts but felt like it "settled" in that area, which of course made me freak out even more. But you are not me, and should definitely work closely with a doctor. Every time I stop drinking (like now) it pretty much goes away, though it kind of went away once I found out it wasn't *really* my heart, just anxiety. Not to minimize it, because I certainly did think it was my heart....but that's what makes doctors doctors!
Good luck!

Heart palps were one of my biggest problems, had them everyday and for a few years there I actually used them as a reason to keep drinking <crazy>. It took a couple of months for them to stop completely and I sure hope they are gone. I really should have seen a doctor. I mean really. But stopping the drink and drugs was a must.
Best Wishes
