Sober at drunk time

I am sober today! I am always drunk at this time of day. Always. Got in the car to go get hotdogs for the grill. Felt odd to be able to drive and clear headed.

Such an odd feeling I know only people like you would understand.

Sat nights are tough for me.... This feeling is motivating me to stay sober today.

Hell yeah bud. I'm usually drunk by now, or just waking up from passing out post-morning drunk. Enjoy your grill out. I'm headed to pick up some veggies and then firing up the charcoal grill. Here's to a sober Saturday.

It's an awesome feeling, isn't it? I think it's the simple things, like being able to drive down the road without being afraid of getting pulled over, or hell, even being able to operate a grill on a Saturday evening...most Saturdays, fire and I would not have mixed well...that's what I'm most thankful for a lot of days. Hang on to that feeling, Weasel.

Saturdays are so tough. I would drink during the week because I was miserable, but on Saturday I drank because it was festive and totally acceptable because everyone else was drinking....

You're doing great.

Paying attention to the small things that make you feel better is so important.

Hey jitterbug feel that way Friday Saturday and Sunday. Fun fun fun... I know they still will be that way just in a different way.

To try new things to do other than show up at the bar on a typical Saturday at 11:30 am I walked across the Brooklyn bridge and had lunch in manhattan with friends. They had beers and drinks at lunch I did not. Seltzer. I am proud of myself.

Hang in thee if today is tough. We can all be sober together!!!!

Up and ready to face the day. Stayed sober... woke up sober... staying sober again. Day 2. I slipped up Friday.

Plan is to go get flowers to plant in the front yard.

Have a beginner meeting at 1.

Not going to run from thoughts and feelings. Let them wash over me if I hit a rough patch.

Read SR during the day and offer as much support as I have been freely given.
