Encouraging thought for us newcomers

I was in a workshop on personal resiliency yesterday, and the instructor offered some useful advice.

She mentioned that if we can change the way we look at things, the things we look at change. How this applied to her. . .instead of seeing things as falling apart, she envisioned them falling into place, even if it seemed quite the opposite. It was just going to take a lot of time and patience. This gave her strength and a new way to see things.

Makes sense to me. Sometimes we can shine in the darkest of hours.

I've certainly noticed that my life gets nearer and nearer to the way I would have wanted it even as the dust settles from all that turmoil.

For me change was the number one thing I needed to get and remain sober....Across the board....I needed change.

Change was essential for me, too.

And shifting your perspective and seeing things from a different point of view, can totally change the way you feel and deal with problems.
