Well, I'm just going to throw this out there because then I know I will be accountable

I had a girls night planned for tonight and this group has been trying to get together since this winter so I can't cancel. I don't feel I will have any problems with wanting to drink while we are out tonight. I alwayd did my drinking at home.

Being around those who are drinking and
under the enfluence would make for an
arkward situation for me. Here Im sober
and they are having fun with a substance
in their system, no matter if they are friends
or family.

For me to stay sober and be responsible for
my own recovery, i would have to go to any
lengths to protect it. And I did and still do
for the past 21 yrs of many one days at a time
added together to get me where I am today.

My happiness and serenity in recovery doesnt
involve alcohol or poison in it at all.

It can be for you too.

We are going early and for dinner. I've already told them that I can just stay for dinner because my son has a baseball game. One of the girls in our group has stage 4 cancer and less than 6 months at best to live. I really don't think anyone will even notice if I don't drink. I'm sure I won't be the only one. I just wanted to post that I was doing this just like I said to keep myself accountable to report back. Staying sober is very important to me as well.

I had a fun night without drinking with my wonderful friends! It was really nice when the bill came and I only owed $15.00! Some others were around $80.00-$100.00. I can add that to another reason not to drink

when i first stopped drinking i was amazed at the $$$ i had left in my account every month. and i thought i was a cheap drunk.
